Parents and Friends of Cookstown Primary School’ is made up of parents, staff, retired staff, friends and local business people who come together to organise a wide variety of events which raise invaluable sums of money for the benefit of our school and its pupils.

Through its activities, the group aims to :

• develop more extended relationships between the staff, parents  and others associated with the school;
• engage in activities which support the school and benefit the education of the pupils attending it;
• provide, and assist in, the provision of facilities for the school and
   encourage parents and friends to support the school, and school activities, as well as cultural, social and recreational activities among pupils, parents and teachers. 

A committee, which administers the affairs of the association, is elected at the group’s Annual General Meeting, but the association is much more than just a committee.  If you are a new parent or teacher you will get a great deal of enjoyment and satisfaction out of either supporting the events that we are organising or by helping to organise and run them.
