Year 6 Science
Mr Beggs’ class continued to be taught by Miss Cuddy and this week we were studying the effects of oil pollution and how to actually dissolve harmful products, when mixed with water. Everyone took part in an experiment where we learned how to separate oil from water, with some groups using sponges, some using spoons, some using cotton pads and others using kitchen roll. It was a fabulous “hands-on” experiment and hopefully everyone has learned how difficult it is to clean up harmful spills in our water systems. Finally, on behalf of everyone, I would like to take this opportunity and say a huge thank you to Miss Cuddy for taking the time to come in to school and teach the pupils brilliantly!!
