Mr McGaw and Mrs Palmer came to visit Year 4 and brought their Mini Cooper cars. We really enjoyed comparing their vintage and modern cars. We learnt that the Mini was produced from 1959 and Mr McGaw’s can go up to 110MPH (according to the manual!!) because it is a special edition celebrating 35 years of the Mini. Today it costs him £35 to fill it with petrol. It takes £60 to fill Mrs Palmer’s. In 1959 it cost £500 to purchase the Mini and today is costs £30,000!
