We are learning about pirates. During outdoor learning we dressed up as pirates and went sailing in our boat across the seas. We raided other ships and stole their treasure. Then we buried the treasure. Aaron, Sofia, Joshua, Marco, Charlie and Rosie are looking for the treasure in the sand.
We learnt that pirates wear gold and silver jewellery because they believed the gold helped their eyesight. They also believed that wearing a patch helped them to see better in the dark.
We still have lots more to learn about pirates.
