Woodland wellbeing
Year 3 had such a wonderful time visiting Parkanaur and meeting up with our partner class from Holy Trinity Primary School. The day started off with us finding out about some of the animals which live in the forest. Then we used poetry which was attached to some of the trees to discuss feelings. We reflected on times when we shared similar emotions and discussed how best to deal with them. The highlight of the day for many was spotting the White Fallow deer who live in the forest. They were slightly camouflaged with the light dusting of snow, but it made for a very special image.
We all agreed that the outdoor classroom is a wonderful learning environment!
