Peace Island Project

The children in Miss Hammond's year 7 class enjoyed taking part in the 'Peace Island Project' led by Beam and funded by Radius Housing.

Over the course of 4 afternoons, the children split into groups and created their own imaginary Islands. This involved creating -

• The island identity 
• The national flag for the island
• The national anthem 
• The national dress
• History and traditions on the island (shared housing)
• The national sport
• The laws of the island

This was a great experience and helped to kick-start the creative minds of Y7!
