Year Two have been reading all about Mr Grinling, the lighthouse keeper and his adventures. In one of his books he slams the lighthouse door closed with the key inside and it’s starting to get stormy. The lighthouse light needs to be switched on to keep ships safe so Mrs Grinling comes up with a plan – put Mr Grinling in a sack and send him down the rope, over the ocean!! Thank goodness her plan worked. The children recreated the scene using crayons, a blue wash and thicker paint with sand added in. They look amazing!
