On Friday 22nd September 2023 LSC 2 and ASC 2 went on a trip to Cookstown Library. We walked to the library. The librarians explained how the books were organised and where we would find the children’s fiction and non-fiction sections.
The librarians also explained how to use the self-service scanners to borrow and return books. We were given our library cards and then got to pick a book (or three) to borrow. We used the scanners to check out our books.
We sat on the mat and the librarian read us a great story, “Cyril and Pat”. It was about a squirrel called Cyril and a rat called Pat.
We will have to return our books in 3 weeks time. The library is super fun!
