Dinosaur Fossils
26th Jan 2023
To complete our Them Bones, Them Bones topic, we made dinosaur fossils. First, we mixed up some salt dough. Then we rolled out small pieces and pressed a toy dinosaur skeleton into it to make a print. Mrs McCartney took them home and dried them out in an airfryer. They were really impressive!
We learnt that palaeontologists study fossils. Fossils are made by water and minerals taking the shape of a body and then turning hard. They are only found in sedimentary rock and help us to understand what happened a long time ago.
