Debbie Dolittle visits year 2
Debbie Dolittle came to visit us. She cares for animals. She brought a hedgehog, a fox and an owl for us to see. She told us lots of things about these animals. Debbie told us that they are all nocturnal animals. She told us that she found the hedgehog in her garden and that he was blind. She told us that hedgehogs hibernate during the winter. She told us about the fox. She calls the fox Bear and that he wasn’t very old when he came to her to be looked after. The tawny owl twisted his head the whole way round. Debbie told us that the owl can hear and see mice in the dark which they like to eat. The owl spread open its wings and was trying to fly away but Debbie had the owl tied to her hand. We learnt so much about these nocturnal animals.
