Children's Mental Health Week 2025

11th Feb 2025

Last week, we celebrated Children's Mental Health Week with activities to support emotional wellbeing. Pupils explored ways to care for their mental health and build resilience. Here is just a glimpse of what we got up to:

  • Outdoor Learning: Taking time to enjoy nature and use outdoors to support our wellbeing.
  • Learning about our Emotions: Understanding and naming emotions to help manage them.
  • Challenging and Growing our Emotions: Discussing how to face difficult feelings and develop emotional strength.
  • Gratitude Jars: Each pupil reflected on things they were thankful for and shared with their peers. A special assembly was delivered by SPL2 where pupils led discussions about the importance of gratitude in everyday life. Our SPL2 and SPSC2 were also invited to a Take Ten workshop in the library which they found very relaxing taking part in a story massage and some Yoga.
  • Celebrating Ourselves: Taking time to recognise and celebrate what makes us unique and special.

It was a fantastic week filled with thoughtful discussions, creative activities and plenty of fun!! Thank you to all our pupils and staff for embracing it with open hearts and minds!
