We decided to measure the rainfall in Cookstown by making our own rain gauge. Mrs Wilson cut the top off a bottle then we used a ruler to make a scale along the side so that we could measure how much rain falls. We found a heavy plant pot, put some sand in it to weigh it down and then decided on the best place to set it around the school. So far this week we haven’t collect ANY rain but we aren’t really complaining about that!!
