3D Shapes

As part of year 4, outdoor activity-based learning, we created our own 3D shape chart using recyclable materials. We had a great time searching the playground for hidden 3D shapes. Once we found them, we organised the shapes into a pictogram. We added titles and axis labels and counted how many we discovered. We had fantastic discussion about ‘How many more cylinders than cubes? How many less? Which 3D shape did we have the most examples of?’ It was lots of fun!
