The A football team headed to Coagh Football Club on Friday 26th April for the medium and large section of the local schools’ league.
Here are the results of our team (with scorers) at the competition:
Killyman PS 0 – 0 DRAW
Woods PS 2 – 0 WIN (Olly, Mason)
Orritor PS 2 – 0 WIN (Noah, Olly)
Phoenix PS 0 – 0 DRAW
Bush PS 0 – 0 DRAW
Moneymore PS 1 – 0 WIN (Noah)
Our team made a super start with a great 0 – 0 draw against a superb Killyman side, who were slight favourites for the cup. Then we had a fabulous win against Woods PS, playing some fabulous football in the process. The team played terrific football during the next two games, and we defeated Orritor PS 2 – 0 in a very close encounter. However, we came up against a superb side from Bush PS and despite battling hard, our opponents proved difficult to break down and the match ended 0 - 0. We then beat Moneymore 1 - 0 in our last game and the team were rewarded with an excellent third place overall, despite losing no games, nor conceding any goals. Well done to everyone who took part!
